Interview with Artists

I am about the age that I have some strong thought of my own life. Today, my curiosity is less than before so I don't move so much myself unless that I am interested in indeed. I don't mind to be called anti-civilization. I mean I don't see news mostly except that really important for myself. But interview articles are exceptions. It is very interesting any people's one. Might be because of I can find only one individuality and lifestyle there. I like human. I like them original characteristics. when I was a student I didn' t study so much in school instead of it I was very keen to read interviews at magazines for mature people. Those became guides to grow innocent myself up. As reading those articles I thought answers were awesome also interviewers were awesome because they couldn't do that without experiences and deep thought. A few years ago I had a chance to have an interview with Mr. Kenta Ueoka who was active as a painter on a web magazine. I was afraid at first but after, it was very interesting and I realized that it suits me. Because personally I always have many questions when I met artist people. Our conversations are very interesting and more interesting if these became articles. That's why I started this. I am happy for that if it became an amusement for your leisure for mature people and became one of guides of life for the people of the next generation.

それほど短くもない生を生きてきて、好奇心が昔ほどではなくなってきた昨今、本当に興味がなければ、自分は動かなくなってきている。 非文明人と言われそうだが、よほどのことが無い限り、私はほとんどニュースに目を通さない。そんな中での例外がインタビュー記事だ。 インタビューだけは、どんな人のものであっても面白い。きっと、そこに各個人の個性、思想観が見いだせるからなのだろう。 私は人間が好きだ。 その人の中にしかない資質や人生観が好きだ。 私は学生時代、勉強をほとんどしなかったが、そのかわり、自分より世代が上の人向けの雑誌で、インタビュー記事を食い入るように読んだ。 それらのインタビュー記事は、何も知らない、何も経験のない私の人生をガイドした。 記事を読みながら私は、インタビューに答えている人もすごいが、インタビューをしている人もすごい、と思ったものだ。各々の経験や日々の熟考なくしては、この会話は成り立たないからだ。 数年前、ひょんなことから、画家のウエオカケンタ氏のインタビューをすることとなった。自分にできるのか、と危惧したが、やってみると面白くて自分に合っている。 何故なら、自分は、アーティストに出会ったら質問ばかりしているからだ。そして、その内容が非常におもしろい。どうせなら、それらを記事にしてしまおう、というわけだ。 年長者には、余暇の娯楽として、次世代の若者たちには、ひとつの人生ガイドとして、役に立ってくれたら幸いである。
